Even if you think logging is the devil’s work, you have to admit it does make for some pretty cool patterns. Took this shot while flying out of Seattle. I have no idea what mountain it is but I dig the picture. Just a bit of mountain photography. I’m not a particularly good climbing photographer. I can pull decent images from the mountains but they are little more than snapshots that capture maybe one percent of the beauty that I’m surrounded by. I figure I have the same keeper rate as a blind chimpanzee so what I lack in skill I compensate for [...] My little sister is headed to college this fall and while this is a point of consternation for me I guess it was inevitable. I mean she [...] BlueRidgeOutdoors.com recently posted a Happy Trails article showcasing Crowders Mountain. (link) The only reason I mention it is because I got to play my little part by contributing a photo of my buddy Mike TRing on David’s Castle. I can’t remember if I took this picture on the way to climb False Paradise (5.7) or Paradise Alley (5.8+) but this is Supercrack AKA Scream Dream which is a 5.11d on the North Side of Shortoff Mountain in North Carolina. Anyhow, I thought the pic was pretty cool and wanted to share. Energy Czar is a 5.11 sport route on David’s Castle Wall at Crowders Mountain. It is pretty popular as it is near Caterpillar, a 5.7 chimney, and Electra, a 5.10c sport line. I don’t really have all that much to say about it but I wanted to post some pictures I took while I was [...] I wish I could say that I’ve climbed Electra at Crowder’s Mountain but alas that would be a lie and after filing my taxes I think I have lied enough lately. Electra is a 5.10c sport route on David’s Castle Wall of Crowder’s Mountain and is definitely one of the more popular lines.
