Cuil (pronounced COOL) has been getting a lot of press over the last day because it was founded by some hotshot ex-Google employees and what they are calling a Google killer. Yesterday was their first day online so I decided to check out what all the buzz was about.
Wow, now this is where everyone points and laughs because Cuil fell flat on its face. It supposedly has searched over 121 Billion websites to capture “The Web”, Righhht…. If I was smart enough to build a search engine that I knew would get a tremendous amount of publicity on its first day, I would make sure it works.
So how is this related to climbing? Well it isn’t exactly but I when I tested the website I want to see if I could find my Gear List for Mt Rainier post. So I searched for this string “gear list for Mt Rainier” and this is what I got.
We didn’t find any results for “gear list for mt rainier”

too many search terms. Please try fewer terms.
Finally, try to think of different words to describe your search.
