First off, I am a North Carolina rock climber. I cut my teeth here and have enjoyed every minute off it. I learned the area through the third edition of Selected Climbs in North Carolina which includes all the classics but isn’t completely up to date.
A while back I went to Laurel Knob to climb Groover (picture below) and got very very lost. It killed the climb by turning a 2 hour approach into a 6 hour epic approach. I was stoked to find out in the fourth edition Laurel Knob was included. I guess they also updated Rumbling Bald and a few other areas but the new Laurel Knob chapter is going to be clutch.
